XCams should win the award for the most unique look, although that’s not a compliment and could confuse you on your first try. The random chat that I’m viewing right now has a video in the vertical position, and I’m not on a cell phone; so that’s awkward, and whoever streams this way deserves to be banned. On the other hand, her thumbnail is of a lady with large red nails and ugly feet, so if you want to be on the lookout, join the fan club.
Our first impressions don’t end with a single bad stream, though, and here’s how the rest of the XCams experience looks like. You load the homepage, and it’s almost too clean. The sidebar we’re used to seeing has been replaced with a tab, while thumbnails don’t show the accurate view. You must be aware that XCams is mostly a private show-focused site, meaning free goodies are limited for now. So, what happens after you commit and finally decide to stream someone’s feed? The center of your experience is a camgirl herself and instead of showing video in a tiny window that is half your monitor’s size, XCams goes big. Anyway, the XCams website is best enjoyed on a mobile phone or a tablet, although depending on your definition of enjoyment, that too might be questionable. How so?

Appearance wise, XCams looks questionable but works in a sense. It’s not bad although XCams reminds me of an interface reminiscent of LiveJasmin. I did my duty in the first impressions section and talked about its problems there, but for user experience, here’s a recap along with lots of useful features that work both on desktop and mobile devices. You can sort the models with the help of a primary and advanced search engine and use more than a dozen categories and filters. The streams are smooth, they start quickly, and plenty of HD cams will be interrupted by a pop-up asking you to register.
There’s a free 25-credit bonus, so registration is not exactly fruitless. Should you want to join the site, it’s up to you.
