Despite looking a bit dated and forgotten, XNXX.com is a free porn site with an impressive collection of content, including pictures and videos. You can find cute cock loving guys here, sexy babes, matures, trannies, even hentai or 3D porn. XNXX was created in 2002 and, by the looks of it, hasn’t had a design update since the early 2000s.
#2. First Impressions
I’ve had to adjust my expectations after the initial shock wave because, mother of God, does the XNXX look awful? If I could name ten things not to do while designing a site, almost all of these would be implemented on XNXX. The white-on-blue color scheme doesn’t work; the yellow highlights on the top look out of place, are hard to read, and don’t even talk about the video tags. Someone thought having white text on light blue background was a brilliant idea. I don’t know who the designer of XNXX is, but they need to go, not just home but to a mental institution.
Okay, maybe I’m a bit too harsh on XNXX, and there are some redeeming qualities. The content might as well be the savior of an otherwise terrible experience. As it turns out, that’s almost the case with one catch.
#3. Content & User Experience
The number of videos available of XNXX is staggering, over 8,000,000 (just like XVideos.com), and there is no shortage of arousing pictures either. There are all sorts of content here, from total amateurs in homemade porn to porn stars in studio content, as well as varying lengths, from a few minutes to over an hour. You can explore all your kinks and fantasies but also discover new ones. Streaming quality goes up to HD, with thousands of high-resolution videos. Also, users are “forced” to sign up for downloads, but at least that comes for free. There’s even a higher membership option that promises 4K porn videos, exclusive content, and zero ads. Whether you’re a paying or guest visitor, videos buffer quickly and stream smoothly.
We've already mentioned that XNXX.com might look dated, but it has all the functionality you need. You'll notice a list of popular categories on the front page, but a few more tools are at your disposal. Namely, the “best of” and “hot” sections show videos by month and total views, as well as a long list of tags and a pornstar index. Bonuses include a section for sex stories with thousands of entries in various niches and a thriving forum. Finally, there are some ads in familiar places and a long gif banner on most pages that can be a bit annoying.
I’d like to touch on the video sorting and the overall idea of XNXX because some of the decisions are questionable. For example, there are no categories, which is not horrible, but users must rely on tags. Okay, the tags page is one of the most cumbersome examples of what not to do. The “results” are limited to 2,000, and the way they appear is in the text; that’s it. Even worse are duplicates! So many of the same sounding tags that lead to the same videos. Like, what’s the difference between “amateur porn” and “amateur porno”? Some are even misspelled like “amateur”. This whole page sucks, and that's the only way to discover content.
#4. Conclusion
I can’t think of a solid selling point for XNXX when XVideos seems to have all the content you need but with a better design. That’s still stretching since XVideos isn’t the prettiest site by a million-mile range.
