#1. About PeekVids
Just like others, PeekVids.com is a porn hosting platform that has something for everyone. When was it launched? In May of 2006. The content covers straight, homosexual, lesbian, and tranny porn. There are studio scenes with lots of pornstars, webcam shows, amateur sex, full movies, interracial action, tons of fetishes, BBWs, hentai, etc.
#2. First Impressions
PeekVids looks like a professional website with attractive web design and colors that don’t push you into depression. If not the prettiest, PeekVids could stand alone as a site about eye candy. No, not the overcrowded layers of 3D buttons, glitter, or snowing dick animations in JavaScript from the 90s, but simplicity. Without being as minimalistic as Beeg, PeekVids shows only the most important details about a scene without feeling overcrowded.
At first glance, I found nearly 80,000 free porn videos for streaming on PeekVids. Upon further inspection, many signs show multiple uploads are pushed to the site daily. The categories page needs some work since only the top categories feature thumbnails. On the other hand, it could be a pre-calculated decision since you have close to 400 categories. I cannot imagine how long it would take them all to load. What’s the fix? Removing duplicates.
#3. Content & User Experience
PeekVids plays with numbers and variety. That’s a compliment, by the way, and by “plays,” I mean your aroused cock. Videos run in length from a few minutes to well over an hour, but the average is probably around 25 minutes. Streaming quality can be adjusted, and there seem to be well over a thousand HD clips available, but they're mislabeled. Even when you switch to 720p or 480p, the quality stays the same, so you end up with 360p or maybe 480p quality. This is the biggest pile of nonsense I’ve seen on PeekVids. It could be our browsers (doubtful) that haven’t switched to the right resolution as requested or a temporary broken thing, but come on… At least test your site because misleading visitors will mean they are lost forever.
Another annoyance of PeekVids is CAPTCHA. It kept throwing me messages that my visit rate exceeded the norms and asked me to enter the code combinations. This was never an issue before, and I don’t mean premium sites either, all the sites. Is PeekVids under attack, and that’s a temporary measure? Whatever the case is, I was not a bot, and it prevented me from enjoying the experience. Not to mention that as soon as you were to click the back button, the whole page failed to load. By the way, despite community features, some videos have had spam comments, reminding me of the old porn forums.
Regarding layout, PeekVids doesn't distinguish itself from other sites of its kind. Content is divided into familiar sections (newest, hottest, most viewed, top rated, HD) except for “Most Exits Videos,”' which is “Influenced by Reddit & 9gag post”. Besides these options, you can sort content by top categories, pick from a long A-Z list or use a basic search. Downsides include limited pagination, no added filters, annoying banners, and a video player pop-up. Those who choose to register can subscribe to uploaders, use “watch later” playlists, and upload their videos. Sadly, there's no option to download interesting clips.
#4. Conclusion
Good variety, daily updates, and a large collection are what PeekVids.com has going for it. Downsides include a lack of search features, spam, mislabeled HD videos, and sneaky ads. When you tally up the score, it's still an enticing place to visit.
